Suggests Vicente LIKELY to start tomorrow. Gus delighted that he has trained all week, seems the problems are all but behind him.

Again there are hints that the prolonged absence was partly due to "mental" factors, which I reckon could explain why the club were very wishy washy with excuses when week after week he would be "nearly" fit then not fit. They're not going to come out at the time and say "he has mental problems, bear with us".

The fact they are talking about that at all suggests they are very confident he is over the worst.

The impression I have got from Gus's press conference on Player, is that Vicente signed with us to play regularly, he had various niggly injuries that prevented him from playing, thus he got rather down in the dumps about it. As I think we all would, if we were living in a foreign land and were prevented from doing one's job by minor annoyances.

Does not necessarily mean that he has mental issues - to me it means that he desparately wanted to play but couldn't. Which sounds like a good thing to me.

Which is why his whole rift with Valencia started; he wanted to play but couldn't. Even if only 20 minutes at a time.

Is it only me that thinks the phrase "starting on the bench" just sounds a bit wrong ? I know it kinda works, but whenever I hear it, I think "if he's on the bench, he's not starting"

We've done alright without him throughout this year, and adding to his contribution against Leicester; giving him 30 minutes could give us a substantial advantage.

Maybe that is more a comment on the standard of Physios at Valencia than it does of Vicente's mental state? If he is/was pulling a fast one on us, he has chosen an odd time of year to make his comeback.

I've got an idea, let's not worry about if he's mental or not, let's look forward to seeing him in the stripes again. After all he is probably the best football player to have donned the shirt (not including Dave Cameron )

For the record I had started to doubt Vicente myself, but the buzz I got from watching him against Leicester was ridiculous.
