I am worried that I agree with his rant this week re Robertson and the lino
I had the same concern - not sure I've ever agreed with Garth before.

The guy is absolutely clueless. He put De Gea in this week after Forest had zero shots on target .....
I was going to say the same. The Forest keeper made a number of decent saves.

I wonder if he's doing it just to annoy everyone now. It's working.

Surely, Kepa would have been a better choice. Could not do anything about the two he let in, but made some good saves to stop the score being truly embarrassing
I thought Kepa had a fantastic game and kept Chelsea in it for significant periods. We could’ve easily been leading 3-1 at half-time which could’ve opened the floodgates.

Girth Crooks is the absolute definition of 'stealing a living'. I love the BBC, but at the same time I deeply resent the fact that I am paying his wages.

I don’t think Garth has that much self-awareness.

He should stick to crooning Country covers.

That is an astounding pile of bollocks from Crooks. Many outfield selections are open to debate, but picking a keeper that did not have to make a single save is just incredible.

Picks 3 United players that got a routine win over Forest.

Picks 1 Bournemouth player that got an impressive win at Spurs.

Garth Merenghi would be superior replacement by millions of miles.

Salutations friend. I'm Garth Marenghi, horror writer, although I prefer the term 'dreamweaver'. When I write, direct and star in Garth's Team of the Week for the BBC, I draw deep draughts of inspiration from the dyke of my dreams... Other times I just choose the players I've heard of.

How's he going to justify not including all 3 scorers plus Billy Gilmour this week. If he somehow contrives to include more Palace than Brighton I will go round there and give him a slap!

Hang on - shirley all the big six aren't playing until today? Why on earth would he have been watching the lesser lights slogging it out on a Saturday afternoon?
Anyway, I expect his wife wanted some new shelves putting up or something (so he'd have to get out of her way while she was doing it).

Based on previous with him I’m going for:

Leno (admittedly had a bloody good game)

Shaw
Stones
Dalot

Lerma (scored)
Casemiro (obsessed)
Gross (scored)
Fernandes (scored)

Undav (scored)
Toney (scored)
Wilson (scored)

Got a bit lost defenders wise as he normally just chooses defenders who scored because he doesn’t actually watch games, no defenders scored this weekend I don’t think and no Enciso because he doesn’t actually watch games.

Whichever Brighton players are mentioned, he'll probably wang on about how bad Wolves were instead!

In fairness I’ve probably given him too much credit with the Leno pick, given De Gea faced one shot on target straight at him and didn’t concede a goal, that’s probably that sewn up.

:lolol:
