Think it was Dickov who said that!

For our goal I thought Murray was coming back from an offside position, which probably confused the defenders, but he didn't play the ball and Barnes came through onside to score - bit tough on Oldham but not offside. Will be interesting to check on TV if my view was correct

spot on. Barnes came through the two defenders who were looking for offside.

I thought Oldham played some good football up to the edge of the penalty box but they need some strikers with half a chance of hitting a barn door from ten paces. They were woeful up front really.

What's the news on Barnes. Sprinted on to defend the corner, next thing carried off at the other end.

My 10 year old's furthest away day yet and he thought it was brilliant. Even he was laughing at the Oldham teenage chavs.

Best thing about Oldham................Guest pie at the ground.

Gritty performance by the back four.

Having seen the goal on ssn, I have no idea whether it was onside or not. The ball was launched from just inside our half, so the camera didn't show where Barnes was when it was kicked. If I had to guess from what I saw, I'd have to say it looked like he must have been onside, judging by the distance between him and the defenders and the speed he was running when the camera had panned to him.

Don't know if bbc/player will have a different angle, they don't usually.

Great day today. Not a very good performance from the boys but the most important thing was the 3 points. I was on the barrier between us and them and I got the brunt end of everything. To be honest I wasn't they're most favourite person today.

Up the albion.

Murray was offside but not interfering with play so the goal was ok.

Dire performance, never got going, passing wasn't there and no one really performed to their best.

Performance 6/10.
Pies at the ground 10/10.

Oldham is always ugly, ugly town, ugly attitude of their fans and a nasty ground, good three points, we can't thrash every team but we beat them end of.

Muzza looked exhausted at the end of the game, he was offside quite a bit yesterday.

Whilst on the subject, "Bring on the champions" before kick off - risky game. As well as that, I fear the Bennett song is already ruined, due to the fact it is overused and today was sung ridiculously quickly.

Plus I don't think it is particularly original, Barrow fans were singing their own version the other week...so, it may be time to cut that one out of the repertoire!

that bloke with the stripey jumper and baseball cap was easily one of the funniest things i have ever seen at a football game, especially when he started giving it the big "you're going home in an oldham ambulance". if ever there was a more uneducated, bnp supporting oaf in the united kingdom then id like to see him

thought ankergren had f***ed us up with that one he totally missed at the end, but three points playing pretty badly is always a good sign. and the oldham pie situation can only be described as absolutely fantastic

I loved how there was a bloke who was about late 30's in a group full of kids who looked about 8 singing " your going home in an oldham ambulance " to me . They also threw an egg at the coach. Nutters! :jester:
