People have REALLY got to get behind CMS this yr. I really don't get this myth he's not very good?! Excellent footballer IMO.

One pre-season friendly and he's already being slagged off. Strewth!

You'd expect us to do better and look more attacking in the second half, against a team of part-timers, who didn't all swap at half-time, and spent the first 45 minites chasing the ball. As they tired, we were bound to take over. Had the first half team played the second, and vice versa, I expect the goals would still have come in second half.

Absolutely. I think Gus will be focussed on ensuring CMS gets better service inside the 6-yard box this season (could hardly be worse than last year). After that it is up to him but I have no doubt he will be fine if he gets the ball early.

For the first time in around nine years on NSC I am going to use the ignore function so I don't have to read your whiny crap any more.

Hard work isn't it. I still think it is either WW or TCB in disguise - never could tell the difference when they were both in full whingeing mode

I feel I've already explained why those goals should basically be chalked off. Definitely the penalty, at least. They don't count remember! :jester:

Indeed.

First goal sidefoot against the post and in - could've gone anywhere so doesn't count
Second a penalty - obviously isn't a proper goal
Third one lobbed over the keeper - nine times out of ten would have gone over the bar so that doesn't count either
Pass to put Hosky through for his goal was obviously just an example of his poor first touch and he got lucky.
Confirmed. Useless!

It seems like everyone is raving about Bruno.

For good reason, had a good impact today and hopefully he can do the same against better opposition.

Was a good day today, got absolutely soaked but had a good place to stand - right next to the Albion dugout and right behind Gus and Tanno !! Never knew how much Gus actually swears during a match as well and it was certainly different to be so close to the players.

Wasnt impressed with Harley, Casper and Sparrow today - Harley could of had a chance, but tried to be cocky and go round all the defenders. Casper fumbled the ball a couple of times and Sparrow didnt really do anything.

Ground was alright. They did have a stupid licensing rule that you couldnt drink alcohol whilst the match was being played, but there was no way of enforcing it so the Brighton stewards (half of the actual stewards there) gave up. No problems with the 3G pitch either, Brez thought it was alright and not much difference from a normal one. One thing it needs is a scoreboard, a timer and to announce the scorers, as at times we had no idea/couldnt remember.

Honestly anyone actually looking at individual performances today needs there heads testing, I remember the opening game against Burgess Hill last season and loads of people whingeing that Buckley looked bloody average at best for a million pounds !

Pre Season friendlies mean f*** all. We can lose everyone one as far as I am concerned if someone was to tell me we would get 3 points at Hull

Obviously a great victory, but I think it's key to remember that our most expensive transfer in history (briefly), William Buckley, had a non-existent pre-season last year. And look what he went on to do...

I've always rated Hoskins when I've seen him play. Would love to see him get a real run in the team this year.

When we last played Brizzle Rovers away, he scored their two goals and was immense. He was good on the ball and wasn't afiad to take players on. He made Caldy look a bit of a chump for his second. His style of play suits ours so I hope he comes good.

I'm thinking the same. Either a wind up account or just a complete ****

So the players that had non-existent games today, are going to be really good this season.
Those that had good games today, will be great this season.
Ashley Barnes (and Bruno) are going to be out of this world!
