A simple noose round the neck would just about suffice.

Being drunk behind the wheel of a car should mean you can never have a driving licence again. Killing someone means you should go to prison for the rest of your own life.

And sorry to get on my soap box again, but 4x4's should be banned in towns and cities. They are not needed and do more harm than good in built up areas.

You see, the report plays right into the hands of this type of attitude. 4x4s are not the problem, it's is inconsiderate drivers (and in this case a drunk). I don't hear you banging on about banning Porsches, Jags, Ferraris etc etc. Alternatively, are you suggesting people living outside of towns, for example farmers, should be forced either to have two cars or just be banned from coming into towns.

Oh, and by the way, inconsiderate drivers are found in all makes of cars.

The police allways name the makes of vehicle's involved in accidents especially when they're asking for witnesses to come forward, I'm sure it's no kind of witch hunt against any particular kind of car it's just designed to help jog people's memories so they can piece together events that led to the accident happening.
