Having carefully checked all the readouts from the FDR's, CVR's and technical telemetary from the onboard avionics systems, the investigators have discovered EXACTLY what happened to the aircraft which I can now exclusively announce to NSC.
Forget about fuel starvation, computers failure and even the co-pilot spilling boiling hot coffee down his trousers.........
It was the taxi driving along the permiter road!!!
I have re run the approach on my microsoft flight simulator and I can confirm that it was the Taxi that caused the incident.
How you may well ask?
It is very clear. If the approach is flown exactly at 136kts and a taxi passes along the perimiter road at 58.1 mph the pressure wave from the speeding taxi WILL propogate to an altitude of 600 feet thereby causing a drop in in-let pressure on an approaching aircraft.
Clearly any demand for power will be useless whether through the aircraft autothrottle system or by manual control from the crew.
Enquiry closed.
Action: Ban all taxis form the perminiter road.
