Has anyone used this?

It's a file download program that allows you to download files directly from peer to peer using as much bandwidth as you choose.

I've downloaded everything i need, but i can't work out how to use it? i.e. i don't know how to do a search on files to download.

Can anyone here provide any help?

Thanks

Azureus is a bit torrent client so you have to find the torrent files to download which open the connection to others sharing the data.

Its not like the other Kazaa style sharing software.

I woudl recommend www.torrentspy.com as a starting point.

Search for what you need and go for the one with the highest number of seeds for the fastest connection.

You then need to download the actually torrent file and open it in azureus which will then create the files for whatever you ar edownloading and then populate them form all the other people who are sharing. ITs not true point 2 point as there is a tracker where the requests go through.

Hope this answers your question, if not ask.

I've been using both Azureus and the torrent network for a long time now and its pretty good for movies and whole albums but no good for individual songs.

I want it for movies - i'm already using bearshare for mp3s.

Thanks for your help tinx.

Can i only search for files via a website then and not through the program itself?

I'll be in contact!

yep thats basically it, you have to search through certain websites.

For Movies.

Tinxys guide to getting decent movie downloads.

1) Find a movie you want to download. If its not available on DVD currently and is out at the cinema then ther eis probably a pirate version on the net somewhere.

Check www.vcdquality.com This will list all the versions of all movies released that are avialable and also gives you an idea of quality.

Each movie has a three rating quality review. eg 5.8/6.2/8.0

5.8 is the picture quality, 6.2 is the sound quality and 8.0 is the movie quality.

The higher the better.

From there you know which version you are looking for.

2) Find the torrent of this file.

www.torrentspy.com is pretty much the best for this. Search for the movie in there and normally it is obvious which release each is and select the one you ar elooking for. DOwnload the torrent and then open in Azureus or any other torrent client. Watch it doenload at pretty decent speed. Don't limit the upload stream too much as people block you if you are uploading too little.

3) If you can't find what you ar elooking for, it either doesn't exist or is not in decent circulation yet.

Cheers tinx that's really useful. It would have helped if the Azeurus bittorrent website could have explained this!

I'm only on dial-up at the moment, but i am getting broadband connected tomorrow. I'll hit the downloads with venom then.

I've copied your reply into an word document so i don't lose it.

Cheers.
