I thought the exact same. He's still young so he has time to develop but at this current moment, he is not of Premier League standard. I don't notice him on the pitch at all, I do notice other midfielders like Baleba (because he is willing to track back and put a tackle in). Needs to up his game but I'm more concerned about the experienced players who also need to up their game.
So would I be, if they're having to fight for a place against a young player who according to you and one or two others (not many, I think) is lightweight, slow, and not a top flight player! We've paid a lot of money for them!

He is an inferior Buonanotte. Similar in style - too lightweight , sluggish in pace with little end product. However, I do remember Buonanotte scoring a few goals. If Ayari could shoot straight in the last two games we might have an extra 4 points.
Six if you include the chance at Arsenal
