Meanwhile two actual deaths in a bridge collapse on an Italian motorway. No one has recorded what the bridge shouted before it collapsed because bridges are inanimate objects that can't shout but are, at the time of typing, more dangerous than anyone who's shouted "allahu Akbar"today.

The chances of Donald Trump repealing his travel ban and reconsidering his infrastructure plans are said to be zero, despite today's news turning out worse for European victims of poor engineering than European victims of terror.

One man has been arrested. The 36-year-old suspect from the former Yugoslavia suffers from psychological problems, Duesseldorf police said.

The motive for the attack is unclear, and police are not describing it as being related to terrorism.

German federal police earlier tweeted a warning to the public not to engage in speculation.
