What's this **Speculation Deleted** thing? Does it mean that the poster is speculating, but thinks that adding this makes it OK, or have they actually typed some speculation but deleted it before pressing the 'Post reply' button?
Either way, it looks a bit silly.
Neither.

I put it there when deleting speculation contained in their posts re: the culprit.

I put it there as a record of the edits.

I’m pleased he wasn’t as that would be a law enforcement officer off duty for months

My first thoughts were for my friend who has a nursery in Southport and whose company has staff all over the region around Liverpool. I messaged him and his nursery was the other side of town, all the nurseries in Southport were quickly sent into lockdown. Although everyone in his nursery is okay, staff and children are understandably shaken up as they know this was the real thing.

"We can confirm that a 17-year-old male from Banks, who was arrested in connection to the stabbing in Southport this morning, Monday 29 July, remains in police custody and will be questioned about the incident."

It sounds very much like the police have done a great job in very difficult circumstances👏👏 Perhaps the police haters can praise them on this.
What another horrible day of crime.

Just did a wander around Banks on street view. Very pleasant looking area.

For someone so young to (maybe) have done that makes it even worse. Those poor kids, families, friends etc. 😟

Alaina Riley, 18, said her aunt saw parents running out of the dance class carrying children covered in blood and attempting to resuscitate them.

“She said she watched parents resuscitating them out on the front, the parents had grabbed hold of them. I think it was pick up time.”

Riley said: “She said she had never heard screams like it. She was distraught and in an absolute state on the phone to me.”

Emergency service workers including paramedics and firefighters could be seen with their heads in their hands after the initial response to the stabbing.

I’d rather you hadn’t posted that.

Only 17 , can't be named then , very convenient

He'll be named. Special exceptions are usually made for such abhorrent crimes.

This news story has upset me. Poor children, poor parents. Really hope some kind of political change is brought in off the back of this, so that the great cost of these lives is not completely in vain.
