If we are told that we have to sit where our ticket says (like at Southampton) then I do. If we have the freedom to sit where we like, I sit where I like. Simple as that, although I'd much rather stand on a terrace any day of the week.

What did raise an eyebrow for me today was people standing up for so long in front of the disabled area fans - I hope their area was high enough for them to see the play.

Me, and my dad always ask if it is sit where you like, and do so accordingly.

Was a bit crampt having 6 blokes next to us for 4 seats, but when they were made to sit down, two were left standing

What a load of bolloxs. The rules say SEAT not standing so each person whether they go to 1 game or 21 away games a season should SIT. in the allocated seat not stand in front of it. This is called respect for others so that they, some of whom may be children,WHO ARE OUR FUTURE, can see.

When told by a steward to abide by the rules it is people like you who then rebel why?

As I said on another thread, when there are 1200 of us in a 3000 capacity stand then go where you like.
When there are 3000 of us in a 3000 capacity stand then sit in allocated ticket seats.

It's sad watching the machismo bullshit of people who turn up 2 minutes after kick off and then stand in the aisle, goading the stewards because they can't be arsed to find their seat and because they are beered up.

If a sell out or near to capacity in the away end then stick to ticket. Otherwise will sit where I like and only move if the person asking me is bigger / nastier than me

Yesterday, I came out just before kick-off, somebody was in my seat.
Didn't cause a fuss, but went looking for empty ones, then we were told we were in the wrong seats.
We tried to explain that everyone was and that our seats were taken too. The steward then told us to go down to the bottom of the stand because it's out of his area and he didn't care.
When we were at the bottom, we asked another steward to get us some seats or free our ones, he said there weren't any and sent us back to the top!
Went back to the top and were told we were now on our final warning!!! WTF?

Shit stewarding yesterday.
