theres too many stickies....they are the BAIN of people with low resolution dekstops as they have to scroll 5miles down before they get to the first proper thread......Have a maximum 3 or 4 stickies and no more. Even on my 28" 1900x1200 resolution screen I have to scroll down....RUBBISH!

For what it is worth I don't have a preference but I think it is a good debate to have.

Pros: Gets all the information in one place. If you look at the stickys at the moment, most are non game related so it won't make a lot of difference. Possibly reduces the amount of threads started early on.

Against: Can help fill up the screen and people seem to ignore them and create there own nearer the match anyway.

Against: information gets lost in the away stickies, people simply dont use the search button, they start a new thread anyway, mods waste time merging them all only for someone else to start a similar thread again 2 days later

I must confess I was hoping more people would take notice of them.

Stickies are rubbish. They should only be used for VERY important threads. So what if we ended up having 1.4million threads relating to Peterborough away, did it really hurt anyone?

Not a big issue for me but I am in favour of the stickies for away games. I think there are far too many seperate threads for each game discussing how to get there, train fares, where to eat/drink beforehand, has your ticket arrived yet etc...having all this information in one place to find makes more sense to me..

Do bear in mind that this only covers away game stickys (of which there is only one of at the moment).

Isn't that what the Away Travel forum is for?!?

Stickies should be reserved for important information threads... I would like to see more active moderation to merge threads where at all possible (perhaps, over time, it would stop some of the attention seeking thread starters??)

Abort, retry, fail
Bin the away stickies.

Why not utilise the away game travel section? With a sticky in that forum with links to the football ground guide. Rail networks, Club ticket office number etc.
