It does also ask the question where the BHA fans would be put, who buy tickets on a match basis - presumably in the South stand - which may limit where season ticket holders who want to move to the South stand sit.
Also where are the extra away fans in cup games going to be accommodated?
Unlikely I’d say given the punters can only be charged 30 notes.I’ve put 2 and 2 together and probably (wrongly) assumed that the Heineken Lounge will be now be a 1901 style hospitality area for away fans only once the they are moved to the corner.
Just dotting the i’s and crossing t’s i heard.I think there is a very good chance somebody else will buy that piece of land before the flats are built.
Yes, we have. It’s the 4 rows of car parking closest to the stadium (with its own entrance just before the rising barrier near the stadium). It’s officially known as Car Park A, and a club official has also referred to it as the ‘Hotel Section’ of Bennett’s Field.Strangely it had never actually occurred to me that no other Pr
We’ve always had a (small) bit of Benetts Field, haven’t we?
If so, I’m wondering if it’s being squeezed in there somehow.
Let’s see. I suggest the existing lot that frequent that place will be offered seats in the North 1901 but as well you know, away supporters often turn up in the 1901. I suspect there won’t be season tickets in the Heineken lounge and North Weet corner anymore and hospitality will be sold on a match by match basis. It will be nice to have an ‘unofficial’ area for the away fans meaning we hopefully won’t see them in the home 1901 areas anymore.Unlikely I’d say given the punters can only be charged 30 notes.
Thanks. There’s a group of 7 of us who sit close together since the opening of the Amex. I doubt we will find places suitable other than the South which is in itself limiting. Lots to think about.I guess the answer to both these questions is the same.
In the South Stand blocks closest to the away fans.
STH moving to the South Stand will likely be primarily in Blocks A-D, so that they don't need to move for those cup games where a larger allocation is given.
Alright dazzer6666 I should have read the announcement first jeez. The announcement literally says where it’s going
I should think so otherwise you will have away fans directly alongside the 1901 , which probably won't go down well - if I've understood the changes correctly.I’ve put 2 and 2 together and probably (wrongly) assumed that the Heineken Lounge will be now be a 1901 style hospitality area for away fans only once the they are moved to the corner.
I assumed they would remove it and add rows of seating to the back of the stand but who knows.I’ve put 2 and 2 together and probably (wrongly) assumed that the Heineken Lounge will be now be a 1901 style hospitality area for away fans only once the they are moved to the corner.
Perhaps. They’ve said it will become part of the away supporters area so could be either.I assumed they would remove it and add rows of seating to the back of the stand but who knows.

"The general feeling of the fans?" Blimey did you use the same pollsters the Democrats used for the US election. I thought the full Binfest was reserved for train queues, parking , naughty fans leaving early and burger/pie temperature than where people other than them are sitting.Glad the Club has finally listened to the general feeling of the fans. SW corner was always the best solution - away from TV cameras and in an area where vocally, they’ll make the least impact.
I am expecting now that all those home fans who move to the South Stand will make as much noise as the North Stand - no excuses!
Wont the South stand end up.like North stand now standing? Surely many fans from the corner dont currently stand so will they be happy? Surely it will be harder to contain a split away section and cause more aggro with home fans closer and towering over? The corner seats some cost more, its bizarre away fans get these over home fans. There is a high price for all this signage section off physical areas and so.on.all.for what better atmosphere not guaranteed..badly timed shouldve waited see how standing rails in North stand works out. We only have so many fans that willever sign personally i dont think it'll increase atmosphereo one example hear away fans sing and North stand respond.

3000 away fans singing will make a noise wherever they are, especially if we give away silly goals.
Sadly, I think the concentrated wrap around effect of more boisterous away visitors may produce more rather than less noise than present, and will now be closer to the camera mics. (Noise is directly, logarithmically reduced or increased by distance, not wishful thinking. This why it's very difficult to hear the two disparate choirs of the north stand very well from the SW corner). If the South Stand is stewarded like the SW corner has been , over enthusiastic singers will be vigorously stewarded in a way North Stand STs won't be used to , so don't expect a South Stand Roar anytime soon.
I am sure the changes will more than pay for themselves- presumably extra away hospitality is the golden goose? Hopefully it is a change that makes day to day policing safer for everyone too, though I am not sure quite how. This is a successful business. If it was just being done "for the fans" a number of us wouldn't be having our little community disrupted for no apparent benefit to those directly affected. It's a bit like people losing their homes for HS2 being told it's going to be great by people who don't use trains and live in another part of the country anyway.
Me, I'd rather extra seats which are affordable for all, including our younger fans who are the future of our support not restricted to those who can afford them and all the trimmings but are more likely to use as a business expense and an access for non Brighton fans
