Away fans relocating to the East Stand next season

Are the away fans actually relocating?

Surely the away section will have to be larger as the capacity will be larger, therefore those 1.5 or 2 blocks plus one corner will be used to fulfill the 10% or 15% rule?

The away end does not have to be larger, but it will likely be flexible enough to be larger. The rules are 2000 or 10%, whatever is smaller for away fans.

We already have provision in the East Stand to segregate, so I would guess that the standard away end will hold about 2800 and comprise the said area in the East and the South East Corner. For cup games where 15% must be offered we can easily offer half the south stand as well, as this already can be segregated.

If the visitors did not need many tickets, like Barnsley this year, then they could easily be accommodated in their section of the East Stand alone, leaving the extra south east corner tickets for general home sale

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
How far along the East are you? I was speculating with my fellow season ticket holders how far round the away support would be, and we think it will be to about the second stairway in. Is that the sort of area you currently sit in?

I tapped to talk.

Based on where my seat is...the away fans will come around to being in line with the 18 yard line in the south east.

The good news is the club has moved all 5 of us to the East Upper so we dont split our party/group up

Now a very happy chappy, my new seat is bang on the half way line, Row F in east upper for the same price :)
