Barton has definitely gone up in my estimations after last night - had a good game and played his panto villian role to perfection, tongue firmly in cheek.

I agree. Played the game in the right spirit and was enjoying the attention of the North Stand when he took the first corner at that end. Crowd seemed to be laughing along too.

There was a quite delicious moment when one of them turned round in response to some of our lot pointing out the scoreline, and said to someone in the queue "you've got no chance of going up this season". The person who he had said this too replied: "I'm a QPR supporter."

Very funny.

Yep, he couldn't help raising a smile, so fair play to him knowing that he has earnt the right to be a villain and seeing the funny side to it.
