away attendance?

had a brief flick through the match thread but havent seen anything? anyone have a figure? if that stand holds 2000 my guess would be 800-1000

Well total attendance was only 4873. My guess would be more around the 600 mark for us.

I think the size of the stadium shows the ambition of Colchester. All a bit sad really.

On the official U's website the south stand holds just under 2000.. I reckon it was easily more than half full... I estimate just over 1000..

Stewards were over the top yesterday, their was no need to wind people up, it would have been easier to send up one steward who stands at he back and has quiet words with anyone breaking the rules.

Both Colchester and Brighton fans were taken out, stood by themselves in weird sin bin scenarios and then let back in.

Still do not want to distract from what was a great day out, fans all sung loudly and players responded, Tommy Elphick's celebration of Lloyds goal in front of the fans was great.

Special thanks to Adam El Abd who took the time to talk, give prized souvenir and pose for photos with my collegues son after the game, his first away game, and one he will hopefully always remember.
