I tried my best to get people going and quite a few songs eminated from krispies Mk 11

But in the second half we were just too angry to chant.

I reckon there were about 750-850 there. Hardlly took up a third of the stand. The noise made didn't carry very well either as the snow etc was blowing into that stand.

Had an interesting time sitting next to the refs table in hospitality before the game. He was holding court with the lino fourth official andthe assessor. Name dropping at any opportunity...blah, blah, blah... i told Henryi played the advantage.... blah, blah blah... an i said to Giggsy....

They all looked bored shitless. Can see why he was so intent on stopping the game at every opportunity. And his attention seeking came to fruition with 2 dodgy pens.

Still think he looks like a woman tho!

Not surprised hardly anyone went really.

It's crap. Crap town, crap stand and crap performance every time we go there. I had a shit time in Stoke and was very happy to get home.

Wasn't really interested in walking round the town centre afterwards either.

I believe someone called us 'Gay faggots'.

You should've told him that being ginger is a WEAPON you're prepared to use when provoked. That would've shut him up.

I was in the main stand and even the OAPs were singing "we can see ya holding hands"!!!!!!!!!!

Pity we're not renowned for having a high ethnic popoulation we could get 'em all chucked out!

Was in the corporate section and was surprised how poor the Albion turn out was. Would say 600 was generous, more like 500. Decent volume from the hardy bunch who travelled.
First time in a VIP part of the ground and despite the comfy seats, it was still damn freezing with the wind blowing in.

Bad first half, but we improved with the wind in the second half, and the introduction of both Oatway and Jones.

Dissapointed at the end of the day because we could easily have got a point out of this one, and Stoke rarely troubled Shabaan apart from the penalties.

Couldn't believe how much moaning there was in the second half from the Stoke fans around me about the refs performance!

I dont even think 1,000.

I'd guess at about 800,but i could be wrong.Everyone that was there mad a great effort today, but the atmosphere in the away end didnt seem to be what it normally is.Cant put my finger on why though.

Anyone got any views?? Feel free to completely disagree with me!!
The fact that you are playing for pride and being 2.0 down must have an adverse effect on the atmosphere.

Think thats exactly what the problems were. I have never been so cold in my life as i was yeaterday. it was freeeeeeezing!!

ha southern softies the lot of you.

Wait until you have to Oldham twice in January (like we did in 91)

That's my benchmark of cold - a few weeks later, a QPR fan was admitted to OLdham General suffering from mypotehrmia

i thought it was a nice stadium but plonked on a hill which on that day was f***ing frezzing and with the first half display by the albion made all of us dead miserable.

The atmosphere disappeared in the away stand after an early cracking atmos the stoke fans where deafly sient in the first half

I said the only way either team would score is throught a penalty stoke dominated but where shit. Then 2 minutes later the ref did his job to his defence i thought it was a penalty even thought Duberry looked for it clumsey tracking back by Mcgammon gave then the spot kick

After that there was no defence of the shitness of the ref fucks sake. But it was slightly amusing when the stoke fans all joined in on the stand up if you hate the ref chant:lolol:

On stoke Radio after the match on bloke reckons that the ref was biased to us in the second half. Yeah right where was the penalty for the tackle on hart?

as for the locals they where ok in patchs some muppets but evry game i have been to this season has this

I was there too and I reckon the Britannia on Saturday was colder (mind you I am 14 years older now....)

I thought the two away games at Swindon last season were the coldest and the hottest I've ever been to. The game in December nearly froze my blood; the play off semi was hot enough to get people to pay £2 for a poxy little bottle of water.

I think the atmophere on Saturday never lifted mainly because of the cold but partly because of what looked like a less than committed performance on the pitch. The ref? Just don't start me.
