Horton's halftime iceberg

Mine was advertised as an iceberg lettuce (and the only image that would fit at the time), however vegster an expert on these matters has clarified it is in fact a Webbs Wonderfull.
When the great Brian Horton went from star midfielder to star manager, he turned the team around at Gillingham (gloomy times) and put some passion back in club.
Pre every half time an iceberg lettuce was paraded around the ground by two girls and taken down the tunnel, I do not know what Mr Horton did with it, but it worked, shredded, kicked or eaten whole it was better than any smashed tea cups.
One day I may try and put it on the great mans head (1970 black and white photo). Good luck next year Brian keeping Hull up in the premership.

As a primary school teacher it was a toss up between the crayons, a sand pit or a water play area - apparently that is all I get the kids to do; oh and get to go home at 3.30 and have 40 weeks holiday a year etc etc
