It lacks a lot of personality without signatures and avatars, when you're scanning down a page it's harder to pick out which posts you want to read and which to ignore...

Change the grey background to light blue, grey is so YESTERDAY, innit.

As for registering, it only takes a minute. The majority of people have never posted, some have been registered for over a year without saying anything. This is a shame.

Our 'problems' are not really bandwidth related, it's more a question of CPU/memory.

Of course - every little bit helps but it's not likely to make much difference.

Stopping guests being able to view the Big Board made a lot of difference.

Not at all - there were a lot of 'to busy' errors yesterday. Why penalise those that have taken the time to register and use NSC because of a couple of hundred 'lurkers' who haven't?

Registration takes a couple of minutes and once you're in, you're in.
