Indeed - I can't see fork me's avatar either.

I can see mine, but I can't see yours, or bozza's.

There is, indeed, something strange going on.

Since the changes I get a drop down box open every time I switch pages with an Adobe Flash 10 "warning" which I have to cancel to read the page. I get it on SKY Sports News pages and sometimes on the Argus site too. How do I avoid that? Should I just dump the current version of Flash Player or will that mean I can't view anything?

Right, I looked at yours more closely, fork me, as a 'test case'.

The file for your avatar simply didn't exist on NSC's server so if it was displaying it must have been either your computer or the interwebs showing an old cached version.

As a test I've just uploaded a file to your avatar and it's showing for me now.

We don't use Flash at all although the occasional ad banner might. Sounds like you've got an issue at your end given what you describe - I'd look to update Flash to see if it resolves the issue.

Can you see mine ?

:edit: !

Nope.

The easy way to test is to right click (or, on a Mac, control click) and copy the URL of the image for your avatar. Paste that into another browser tab and, just to make sure, refresh. If you get something like...

The requested URL /customavatars/avatar2092_1.gif was not found on this server.

...your avatar image is not on NSC's server and won't be viewable.

Bozza, please could you direct an old thicko about where on your profile page there is a facility to upload an Avatar? I just seem to have a small rectangular box; and no matter whre I click there is nothing which says "click her to upload an avatar" or anything like that. Also, no matter how I customise my profile page, some of the text is white on a light blue background; almost impossible to see!

That's a quirk of the default view for that page that vBulletin supply. It's completely bizarre.

It's on my list to do a global update for all users so leave it for now and I'll get round to it soon.

I've fixed this for all now (unless the user has changed the colour themselves already).

Interesting, I did a google images search for fork me north stand chat and it found it. CLicking it showed me it seperately, but trying to upload it re failed. I'm guessing it was in my cache.

Anyway, just refound the original and re-upped it.
