He lost to a better player, one whom had just smashed the finest player tennis has produced in the previous round. Oh the shame!

Quite - who indeed has played, IMHO, the best tennis of his career to date in this tournament. But you'd never have known that from the Beeb, whose sum coverage of any tournament outside Wimbledon comprises the Men's Singles Final With A Brit And Some Foreign Bloke.

I think it's great that we've found a replacement so quickly for Bottler Henman.

I woke up and turned on the radio near the start of the first set to hear he'd just blown his second easy smash and had just wasted his first challenge on disputing a perfectly-good call. I had a feeling right then it wasn't going to be his day.

I feel part of his problem is coaching. He has the talent to beat any other player in the lead-up to a big final but losing 9 sets out of 9 in majors is exceptionally bad. He needs a coach who can make him a more confident, aggressive player.

How do you feel about the England team getting spanked by a very good German team at the World Cup then BoF?

Should they have escaped your criticism because Germany played very well and are one of the top footballing nations in the world?

Murray gets paid millions yet chokes on the biggest stage when fans have spent thousands to watch him. What's the difference?

Djokovic was hardly pulling up any trees in that first set until the 10 game, with plenty of unforced errors including 4 in one Murray service game. Once he had that first set in the bag he stepped it up a gear, whereas Murray obviously felt the pressure of another straight sets grand slam defeat looming.

What are you saying?

Djokovic shagged Federer!

Football and tennis are completely different objects.

Footballers are representing their country. Tennis players are playing for themselves.

I don't think I criticised England for losing to Germany. I did criticise them for their insipid performances prior to that. I wasn't particularly bothered about it in the end. I lost interest in watching England play a fair while ago.

Yes, tennis players do get well paid, at least those that reach/head towards the top, but it is far more punishing than football. Footballers have it easy with their training regimes and schedules in comparison to a lot of competitive sport.

No-one is forcing people to follow them. I'm sure the Scottish/British tennis fans will have enjoyed the journey. The spectacle of a final is not always about winning. He'll probably get there eventually.

I don't understand why he is disliked by so many. He has matured, he is a great player and he seems popular with the people that count (his fellow peers/commentators/experts).
