Jimmy Barnes is, or at least was, the biggest name in Australian music, in Australia. Virtually unknown in the UK.

I remember going to an Oz pub in Earls Court in the early 90's, they were mad for "Barnzee", who the hell is this guy?

Always found it a little odd none of his work made it over here - given he was born in Glasgow, Scotland (albeit moving to Australia as a 5 year old).
