Poor. When you consider we were 164-3 thats a terrible score. Only 2/3 players done anything with the bat today. KP, ian bell, and Bopara was the only other onget double figures.
164/2 after 29.2 overs....then 83/8 in the next 20.3. It's not a big ground, if Australia get off to a good start it's all over. 280-290 would have been competitive
Yet again without Bell and KP England's batting would be fukked again. Vaughan is a problem as Nasser Hussain said on commentary time for Flintoff to open with Bell with KP coming in at 3 and Vaughan in at 4 or 5. He has a woeful average for a One Day opener and we are always relying on Pietersen and Bell to get us out of the cart. It isn't always going to happen.
How many more chances does Vaughan get?? I guess they've got to stick with him for the rest of this tournament but I doubt we will see him play for England in one day internationals again.
