Lions running away with it. Swans no shape and can't get a hold of the ball
Sydney choking in the GF once again. It makes our loss to Brisbane last week even more upsetting.Bit of a battering for Sydney there

Gotta be Richmond v Collingwood at the MCG shirleyNow that the AFL fixtures are out, I was working out which of these to go to that are on while I’m there in July and August - any recommendations? Hawthorn v Carlton looked a good one.

ooh- you should defo try and get to Marvel and the MCG, to compare the two stadiums - the Essendon v Dogs game should be good if its under the lights, and then id say both the MCG games would be belters - Hawthorn v Carlton will be two fairly decent sides, and while Richmond v Collingwood wont be particulalry competitive (Richmond are going to be hilariously dreadful for the next couple of years) its a clash between two massive fanbases. Tickets are really cheap, going to three games over a weekend is perfectly alright! (They'll firm up the specific dates and times nearer the time, they arent set in stone yet from round 15 onwards i believe)Now that the AFL fixtures are out, I was working out which of these to go to that are on while I’m there in July and August - any recommendations? Great - thanks for the tips and yes, I’ll try and get to a few. Been to both for the cricket but the Marvel was always 3 parts empty then so would be good to see it full. Really looking forward to it!ooh- you should defo try and get to Marvel and the MCG, to compare the two stadiums - the Essendon v Dogs game should be good if its under the lights, and then id say both the MCG games would be belters - Hawthorn v Carlton will be two fairly decent sides, and while Richmond v Collingwood wont be particulalry competitive (Richmond are going to be hilariously dreadful for the next couple of years) its a clash between two massive fanbases. I lived in melbourne a few years ago and used to work just outside the city, when i finished my saturday shifts i'd go and watch the last quarter of whatever was the daytime MCG game - they opened up the gates, it was free! but its still only about $35aud for a general admission ticket, so you really can mosy along if you fancy a game on the day, for the vast majority of fixtures. Hawthorn v Carlton will probs have about 60-70k there, and richmond-collingwood could be a 98k sellout, but as one or both of them will be fairly crap, it might only be about 50 or 60k. Still excellent experiences though! Get a Carlton midstrength beer and a four n twenty pie, and shout 'BAAAAAAALLLLL!' with every ounce of strength in your lungsGreat - thanks for the tips and yes, I’ll try and get to a few. Similar to me, I used to watch last quarter at Carlton, Princes Park being just a few minutes walk from home. Never paid to watch.I lived in melbourne a few years ago and used to work just outside the city, when i finished my saturday shifts i'd go and watch the last quarter of whatever was the daytime MCG game - they opened up the gates, it was free! but its still only about $35aud for a general admission ticket, so you really can mosy along if you fancy a game on the day, for the vast majority of fixtures.
