He'd been batting so carefully, rebuilding the innings with Trott.
It was nearing time to take the batting powerplay but he got too adventurous after hitting only his second boundary and was caught behind off a wide one. Needless dismissal

Indeed I think the test matches are starting to take their toll now and not good with the World Cup shortly.

Yardy bowled OK for most of the time but that full toss that went for 6 was not required. However it's the batters who have lost the plot. Amazing how quickly we have changed from world beaters to world losers. Too punishing a schedule, perhaps?

Just got back from the SCG and we looked like the tour was taking it's toll on the players. Australia aren't that good, we just don't look anything like as good as we did in the Ashes.
Missing some key players and the strain of the tour aren't helping. We know the Aussies are leading the series because they came out of hiding for tonights game. I'm sure that the tour is to long and to go almost straight to the World Cup from here could be a bad thing unless we turn it around and leave on a high.
It's not all over yet and to come back from 3-0 down maybe a big ask but I hope we still have something to play for when they return to Sydney.

Even if we were 3-0 up in the series I'd still say a 7 game series is too many games. Can we not just let the England Lions play them for the other 4 matches?

no not after the 3 matches but i hope we improve and i hope anderson make a different in our bowling and we need to bowl like we did in the test matches

I suppose that's fair, I don't think we are out of it just yet, backs against the wall for sure but we do have enough quality to beat this bunch.

We always used to win the one dayers after getting thrashed in the "proper" cricket Test series. I much prefer it this way round.

Let the Aussies win a few meaningless overs thrashes.
