Aurora

Anybody see the Aurora Borealis last night? Apparently visible in the south of England. I happened to be out late, all I could see were what I assumed to be the lights of London reflecting off cloud. Mind you I didn't know there might be an an aurora.

There were some very imnpressive photos taken in Stafforshire, Cumbria and as far South as Essex and South Wales. However, I had a look out and there was nothing visible; however, I live in Worthing, so hardly a light free area. I'd imagine were you up on Devil's Dyke looking north you'd have seen something last night.

I could see it from my house on North Wales coast. Trued taking a photo but it didn't come out.

I saw them 20 odd years ago from my parents garden outside Ringmer, they were amazing.

I would think the only chance most of us would have to see them is if we were to view from the top of Ditchling Beacon. Might take a drive up there tonight if it isn't raining/cloudy.
