Was listening to Jeff Sarge's show on WFMU the other day and heard this new Eddie Murphy tune.

I'm really not an Eddie Murphy fan at all film wise, but I'm loving this tune I must admit.

Happened upon a nice surprise on Radio 4 yesterday. The mastertapes programme had Steel Pulse featured for their classic - Handsworth Revolution - album.

Thanks JS, just opened it and that first track is from the Mad professor meets Jah Shaka album isn't it? Half expecting to see the Mad Prof pop up behind a mixing desk.

I'll certainly give this a full listen as anything involving, or with a nod towards Shaka is always a winner for me. Thanks.

I'm very familiar with the opening riddim, but can't remember who did it originally, but you're probably right. Wait until you hear their version of the Godfather theme.

They won the world sound clash in 2005 in New York, against strong opposition from Jamaica and the US
If somebody told me during the 80s, that a German sound system with a female selector would win this competition, I would have just laughed. Just shows that anythings possible.
