Seeing AP at Brixton Ac was my finest live experience.

I'm not surprised!

I only got to see him at the Top Rank Suite in front of a fairly small audience. I loved the Top Rank sessions that Dave's old sound used to support at, but Brixton Academy sessions were always the best. Bunny Wailer there is probably my highlight, but there's a lot to chose from. Aswad, just before they went commercial were superb too.

Just been enjoying some Joseph Cotton on youtube and I came across this. It then dawned on me that I was actually at that dance at Shenola club down on Waterden Road, Hackney. I'd gone to see Tiger to be honest, and totally forgot that Josepsh Cotton was there that night too. I remember it being a road block....literally! Cars were hitched up outside all over the road and the club was rammed! Tiger was the big thing at the time with - Puppy Love - and -No Wanga Gut- and the excitement he generated on the night still brings back great memories.
