Apologies, there was a thread on here a while ago I think by Granny W, but I cannot find it, so this is certainly fixtures!

With the demise of AudioGo, where are those of you who like audio books downloading from now?
Also, am trying to avoid Audible but if needs be we will use - does anyone use software to convert from AA to MP3 and if so, what?

I thought audiobooks on Amazon were from Audible. I'm also not keen on Audible because of the M4B format and I think you have to install software to download from Audible.

Yes, Audible is Amazon, but I see on Amazon that you can buy mp3 downloads on there - does not work outside of the UK/US because of rights issues. Not that I try to buy stuff from Amazon if I can avoid it. AudioGo going tits up is a major problem, as they owned the rights to loads of audiobooks, apparently.
