A friend is studying Psychology at University, and as part of his final year thesis requires as many responses as possible to this Survey:

Attitudes and Behaviours Relating to Sport Identification and Experience

There are a growing number of initiatives in place within sport to combat discrimination and prejudice in all forms, be it racism, homophobia, sexism, religious discrimination or any other form. This has come as a direct response to an increase in reported cases of these discriminatory incidents at sporting events themselves and online through social media. It has been shown that humans often display great loyalty to a brand or team/athlete with which they have an emotional connection, and promote it in such a way that can sometimes come at the expense of other individuals. As a result, the defence of one’s own belief system and physical territory can lead to heightened conflict between fans, and in some cases marginalisation and discrimination can occur in an attempt to further strengthen their team/athlete’s own position. The identification one feels to the brand can be an influencing factor in this tribal nature, yet with some sports having more success than others in combating the rise of discriminatory incidents, it poses the question of how one’s environment can also influence our attitudes and behaviours.

If you've got 15 minutes, can you please complete the survey for Ollie.

Thank you :clap2::clap2:

A few questions I'd have reconsidered in terms of structure but that's actually a better survey than most I get to see:thumbsup:

It would be good to see the results when they are ready Papa Lazarou

Done, but the student could sharpen the questions up a bit. "Discrimination" is not defined for instance. Also we are asked to appraise the criteria for opposition fans, which cannot objectively be done unless one actually has the misfortune to live in Croydon.
