(apologies for length of this post)

Do you commit less time to reading books/newspapers/magazines than you used to?

I read a full newspaper, dead tree type, today - because I was stuck in the car waiting for someone for a prolonged period. Wouldn't say my ability to give attention to something for a long time is gone, just the requirement to do so often is gone due to be more options.

It takes me a lot longer to get through books these days. Simply because I spend the time I used to spend reading, dibbling about on the internet.

yes and no. ive all but abandon books since being able to read t'interwebs on the communte. on the other hand i read the Evening Standard in dead tree format, and general swerve all papers online due to the oppressive ads, except Telegraph and Guardian which seem to get it right.
