Just text a mate of mine saying 'We've sold over 2.5k already for Sat with more to come no doubt. Not bad for a game that isn't that local. Think we're turning into a big club again. Palace wouldn't have taken 1 thousand and its closer.'

His reply: 'Palace would take 1000 at the mo. you would take 400 if bottom of the Championship. Fact.'

Now apart from my obvious OTT 'big club' comment I disagree with his 'fact' reply... Discuss...

Maybe someone can say how many we took to Peterborough 2 seasons ago when we were struggling all yr and they were pissing the lg..?

A winning side attracts people full stop.

You've completely missed the point. I am aware of that. My argument is we'd take more than 400 (and Im sure HAVE taken more than 400) when we were near the bottom of lg 1 - let alone the Championship. Also 3k to Peterboro is brilliant - doing well or not.

So your mate is a Palace fan? There's your problem then.

No he's not he's Everton. Although he was born in Croyden and suggests they're his 2nd team...

Think we'd always take 1500 plus to Peterborough on a Saturday however we're doing as it's CRACKING. Will be interesting to see how their away crowds drop off when they lose the terrace; I'll certainly be far less keen.

fair cop, i didn't really read it properly, but I stick by the fact there are 101 threads on here with reference to how many we are taking, It never used to be like this we used to just go for ourselves (and the team) if there was a big following it was a bonus, if not well we got over it

Fair point. I'm not usually one to do this type of thing - just wanted to show my mate he was wrong with the 400 comment etc...!

Unfortunately most people on the thread haven't said it yet

This result left us 17th in League One.

Thanks mate - so 600 odd on a Tues night at the bottom of the Championship pisses all over his argument of 400 tops (on a Sat pressumably - if we were down the bottom of the Championship )

This is correct. It's a cracking day out, via London, not too far, decent pubs, always a good chance of 3 points and Barry Fry.
What more could you want in an away trip?
