Quietest ive been to this season was Birmingham, atmosphere from both fans was reflected in the game played really. All the others have been decent and quite loud.

Ipswich, Peterborough and Cardiff were pretty good, especially Peterborough but I haven't been to many games this season. Birmingham was a bit quiet but I was towards the front. Compared to last season and the support at mk dons I haven't noticed a downturn.

Neither have I, having only missed two away games this season. I think it's just another excuse to start a thread about the singers.
RRH if you don't like the songs or the atmosphere, then start your own and get something going instead of whinging at your keyboard.

Regarding songs, perhaps some talented songsters out there can think of something original. It doesn't take on modern songs, other team's songs or anything already known. Let's be creative. Keep it simple, base it on gosbts or think of a short catchy number with repetition and maximum noise. A NSC competition with winners going to the sponsorship dinner perhaps?

Full of ideas but to be honest I'm useless as such things but surely there are some very creative types on here.

it's because we all went to away games to sing and have an atmosphere. Now we have a great day out at the Amex so the away trips are not so special.

Personally I think it's the childish competition and determination to be the 'best' fan that is developing. I was on the far left at Forest and it was loud at points, yet whenever I heard the right it was singing something completely different. If determined singers congregated at the back/middle as used to be the case, the atmosphere would be far better. For the record, I thought Forest was okay, although there were some utter jebends round me. And not the youngsters you have such a chip on your shoulder about, but grown men in their 40s who were f***ing embarassing trying to wind up the Forest fans 70 yards away instead of just supporting the team.

The group of people I go with start a fair amount of the songs normally go up the back/middle but at forest we were tolled to move by the stewards, we ended up on the far left.

There was two lots of singing going on at the same time throughout the game , left and right. Stewards were directing fans to the area their seats were in which meant everyone was split up. I noticed there were several oldies at the back who would have preferred to be down at the front sitting down.

What's all that about?

a few years back our away end was DEAFENING. read lots on here from other clubs about how great our away following was.

2000 at Forest on Saturday, you hardly heard a peep apart from the first few mins and when we scored.

Same at Blackpool. same at most away games this season apart from probably Peterborough. Palace wasn't bad but still nowhere near how it was a few years back.

Has the "cauldron of noise" at The Amex put people off singing away?

We're not noisy anymore?

Maybe because everyone is scared to sing, you might tell us off!

Away at Leeds was pretty loud....but agree that performances drive the intensity of the noise. Blackpool was a great example. Started really loud, but when our performance on the pitch dropped off, so did the noise.
