Very expensive to sack him. Got a bonkers contract extension months into the job.

I guess he’s fine whilst we remain on track to stay up again.

Not even an insane chairman sacks a manager with his team visibly playing well with a decent team spirit, keeping clean sheets, and all be it not wins but picking up points.

Insane fans can start threads on football forums about it though.

How many clean sheets in the league this season?

Didn't we have to go through similar threads, when Chris Hughton went through a bad patch.
We are playing great footy IMO, but obviously we have to convert the chances.
TB didn't sign GP for 6 years on a whim, he must've seen something in him.
Goals will come

Newcastle gave Pardew an 8 year contract extension.

a galaxy far far away
His tactics are good enough to get us dominating games against some very good sides (and some ordinary ones).

I'm sure GP would like a quality finisher as well.

The problem lays with out player purchasing strategy. We've decided not to pay big money for a striker for years now. I'm not moaning, as it's not my money, but the way this season is playing out is very predictable.

Can’t buy that. Huffed & puffed tonight but we were not unlucky. Pope didn’t have to make a proper save. 4 wins in 25 is PATHETIC

GET RID NOW please

Ermmm - pope made a great save from Welbeck, maybe two haven’t seen the second one properly yet.

Tonight was the first game this season we’ve not scored in.

We kept a clean sheet tonight

We have more England caps in our side since god knows when

We have lost our last 7 to the big 6 & Everton

We were unbeaten in 8 or so prem games away up to the Everton game

Stats can we pulled to suit an argument often.

I'm not pulling random stats though, I am looking at these very same games last year and the questions are "have we made progress?" "are we falling behind?" and "are we worse than last season?"

The answer to those questions is:

Yes, we have 1 point of progress in these games
No, we are 1 point better off
No, we are 1 point better off

So engrossed in the US elections I completely forgot about our game!! In fairness, I’m pretty tired too.

What a let off though. Sounds an appalling match. Anyway, doesn’t surprise me. Surprises me even less that the usual suspects still have their rose tints on. Get the bingo card out. Nil nil at home to bottom Burnley and let me guess, plenty to be positive about yes? :lolol: Are we still learning?! :ORef rubbish, VAR rubbish, keeper had a worldie, record number of times hit the post...:bla:

We're now a team that if you don't beat a #teamslikeBurnley - you sack your manager!

Nevermind all the rest of it. Who is up next, #teamslikeVilla.

4th season in the PL, half the fanbase assimilated into the PL Borg collective already.

Yep - match day threads are just a constant pissing and moaning at Potter, then Maupay, Webster, BDB, Ryan - have I left anyone else out? Toxic AF.

Crazy to give him a 5 year contract.
6 points from 24 is very poor.
We're one game away from a quarter of the way through the season.
He's not a match for us, I think the board have messed up recruiting and being so loyal to this guy.
He's not the man for us.

Genuine question - when should Potter be sacked?
4 wins in 25 games is not temporary loss of form.

Never?
When we are relegated?
10 points adrift of 4th bottom at Christmas?
If we don’t win in the next month?
If we can’t beat Villa?

When we get relegated to league 1?

Sorry I was very much agreeing with you and agree. The OPs stat was the one I was replying to.
