The nice Mr safety officer said at our presentation that about 1000 seats in the East Stand(south end) are being kept as pay per game.We have to keep 15% available for Away fans at Cup games(south Stand +these 1000) so these are not going to be sold as season tickets. He also stated that the South Stand can be easily partitioned if the away club dont want all of the South Stand so it is possible some South Stand tickets may be pay per match.
I hope this answer is more constructive than some you have got.

I don't query that was what was said at your presentation however at my presentation and also widely reported on here by others the seats at the south end of the East Stand are for club use, comps, players families, club officials, etc. The pay per game tickets are at the north end of the West Stand Lower. For cup games where the away team require their 15% the area for club tickets, comps, etc will move from East Stand south to West Stand Lower north.

Personally I think the club should only allow people who have been to 30 plus away games get a season ticket.

Why would our club reward fans for giving money to other clubs?

Isn't it a rule that a certain percentage has to be kept back for match-by-match sales. Sure it was 10% of home areas and came in towards the end of our PL seasons in the sun, but maybe only a PL rule. PS Plenty of empty seats (most of the home end) at The Valley next season if you can't get in at Falmer. We even run coaches from Sussex. *puts on tin hat and jumps into a bush* x

The Albion's Club Charter states that at least 5% of match day tickets will be made available to non season ticket holders.

They wouldn't be would they. They would be, as you put it rewarding the loyalty, effort , support etc etc of fans who have travelled all over the place watching the Albion. If as away fans all we are doing is simply funding other football clubs, then bugger it.... thats it people. None of us are going to away games anymore. I always thought there was more to it than that.

will be interesting to see how many tickets come available when STHs cant make game and put up for sale ( being set up by club i think) . Yes many STHs have friends who they give to, people sharing ticket etc but im sure some people have bought season tickets to secure seat even if they cant make all games and will look to sell those they cant make - maybe a few more hundred available to non STHs

Eh? Look at it from the club's point of view. We've been broke for the last however many years, who are they going to reward, people who've stuck by them at Withdean and put their hard earned cash into the club, or people who haven't?

Course there's more to going to away games than that but talking purely in financial terms yes, you are just funding other clubs.

Thought I read somewhere that, depending on away take up, part of the south end may be used. Can't see many clubs bringing 2500 to Falmer in years to come (although there will of course be the novelty factor next year).

I cant buy a season ticket because i have loads of other commitments but i have been a brighton fan my whole life and go to 5 - 10 games a season. with nearly 15,000 tickets sold, how many seats will be available for people like me?

this may sound farfetched, but is this stadium big enough??

If you goto 5 - 10 games a season then you should be on the database? Therefore you should have received a letter inviting you to the presentation weeks ago.
I would phone the club up and see if you can get to the ticket office quick.

....but he says he can't get a season ticket due to other commitments? Not that he hasn't been offered the opportunity.

Of course, will not disagree with that. From the clubs point of view they just see £ signs, and that can only be good for the club, and therefore us as fans who are finally seeing our reward for the years of turmoil. But you must like many feel a little bitter about the newbies now coming along and getting treated the same as the old crowd. Maybe it's just me but it feels like a new guy has just been employed in the office and is getting paid the same as me although I have worked here 15 years.... type thing.
