I've only used the 'Child Ticket' thing once. A couple of weeks ago in fact. I had four Aussie visitors, a family of mum plus three teenage kids, down for the weekend and I wanted to take them to the Cheltenham game. I was really not looking forward one little bit to parting with 4 x 24.50 = 98 quid for a one-off treat, and i sort of knew that the youngest son was 15 or thereabouts. So I got him a Child ticket without asking him his date of birth (turns out he was 16 two weeks previously). So hands up to that one. Plus a bloke at work had won two tickets off the Argus that I bought off him for tenner - he was going to bin 'em otherwise. So I managed to get the whole family in for about 50 quid. If I'd had to pay a hundred quid I'd probably have packed them all off to the Pier instead.

Really brought it home to me tho just how bloody expensive it is (as a STH you tend to forget over the course of a season I'm ashamed to say)
