We've been going backwards since Poyet left. Squad has been stripped of quality and hasn't been replaced properly. Our options this year are piss poor. Only one LB. Defence includes an ageing Greer, Bruno and Calderon. Our strikers are a shadow of Poyet's era. I'd take Barnes over any of our current lot, and I'd never thought I'd say that.

There's also a LONG list of failed signings, which actually makes you question our recriutment team.

Al Habsi - waste of time
Colunga - never worked out
Baldock - paid too much, but still has time to prove worth
stockdale - not worth a million pounds
Gardner - Useless
O'Grady - not a failure, but no Ulloa replacement (which is what we should have found)

Ulloa + Buckley + Bridcutt + Barnes money = at least 12M. Goes to show we had our chance in 2012/13 and blew it.

Was baldock cheaper than Barnes? When you factor in the transfer fee as well as wages, I'd be surprised if we're not paying more.

Bridge-Ward-Bennett....just one example of a position of the pitch, that has just got worse over the last three seasons. The club say every transfer window they won't bring people in just for the sake of it. It has to add quality to the squad, yet this is the exact opposite to what has happened in reality. I challenge anyone to name 1 position on the pitch were we are stronger than we were even 12 months ago.

We are now suffering the after affects of putting all our eggs in 1 basket for promotion under Gus. We have suffered financially since then and as a result so has the strengthening of the team. We need to avoid relegation this year have a clear out and rebuild in the summer by not renewing old players contracts.

What a waste of wages... We seem to have been going for quantity over quality.

Whatever happens we need a complete rebuilding of the squad in the summer. Currently there is only 4 or 5 players that id want here next season.
