Paskman's right, it's Venus. You can see Jupiter setting in the west late in the evening - that's the other bright one!

It's probably the Sun you're referring to. That's very bright.

incidently (sp?!) if it gets clear about 5:30am tomorrow morning we'll be able to see a Lunar Eclipse :thumbsup:

Also on the 4th Jan Jupiter & Uranus (yes YOURanus) will pass very close to one another AND there's a partial eclipse of the Sun that day.
