These defeats/performances will happen.
No big deal.
Slightly concerned about the next few fixtures though.

Poor first half from our point of view while Villa must be very pleased going in 3-0 I have to say we have looked uncharacteristically wobbly at the back and none existent in midfield I have no idea how we might address the situation with the options on the bench

Sounds like Konsa should’ve been off for them. Don’t think this ref can make a correct call with the help of VAR. Pathetic
Corrected.

TBF with your last statement, football is the only thing some of us look forward to in this awful world, so its really hard to not get stressed after a poor game
I learned a long time ago not to let a bad result ruin a weekend. It used to when I was younger, but now? I’ve got more of a perspective on life. And no, I don’t mean to sound patronising either😁👍

But also, over the last few years I really have felt that we'll just come up with a surprise in a week or so, and we'll all be happy again.

Our inability to keep clean sheets is, IMHO, the only thing to really be concerned about right now

Newmarket.
Back to the team we all know and unconditionally love.

Seriously, are the players ever tested for colour blindness?

We never looked like getting beat by many all of last season except a one off against Everton.
We look so much more vulnerable now which is all down to the midfield situation.

For the first time I really don't understand what Roberto did today.

Gilmour and Hinshlewood vs McGinn, Ramsey and Luiz in midfield. Ferguson and Welbeck two upfront....?

What was he doing

I feel like there’s too much changing of line ups at the moment, in a bid to keep players fresh. But it also stops any continuity in the team & allowing the players to learn to be a cohesive unit. Either we live with it or just play our strongest 11 but accept that we’ll have tired games every so often?

Too much rotation is hurting us, simple as. In particular, you can't CONSTANTLY chop and change the CBs and goalkeeper, and expect to be solid.

I'm worried we're starting to believe our own hype. We got away with it against Plucky because they're not very good. Villa are very good, game was gone in 20 minutes. Appalling.

Were you there? Did you suffer 98 mins of utter shite. Did you not consider that the manager by playing Gilmour and Hinshelwood effectively handed Villa the midfield and allowed them to romp to a big victory without having to play particularly well.
