Can’t blame ref or var sometimes just have to hold your hands up and admit we are losing to a far better team on the day totally deserve to be 3 down . We got away with it against Bournemouth last week but against the better teams we will not .

The issue is all the games. West Ham suffered in the same way last season.
We don't have the squad depth for 3 cups and the league and are having to field players that aren't yet premier ready.
We will have to get used to it unfortunately.
Lallana as good as he is, isnt an option as can't shake the injuries, so already a player in minefield down.
I won't correct the word minefield as that's what it feels like right now. 😬

We did this last year at times too though.

We're only a few games in fatigue isnt an issue yet. We've changed teams in our first ever Europa game and current Premier League games.

Field weakened teams or introduce new players in domestic cups, make odd change where needed but don't make huge changes in almost every game this early in the season.

This debacle is not Hinshelwood’s fault but he doesn’t want to collect the ball from the defenders in tight areas.
You can say “he’s only 18, have to start somewhere, don’t be nasty etc” if you like, but it doesn’t change the fact it is one of the reasons we are not as effective as normal.

Solly is going to go back into that ' crisis of confidence' shell. Poor control when through on goal and what on earth was he doing with that header?

It gets worse for him as VAR somehow fails to spot the rugby block on him in the build up to the own goal.

Just maybe this result could be good for us. Over the last 3 weeks every media source you can think of has been blowing smoke up our arses. Potential Champions League winners and our farts smell of roses! Were we in danger of believing our own publicity?

What doesn't kill you, makes you more strong. RDZ will give them a rocket and the senior players will have plenty to say. We write this off just like Everton last season and we move on.

Whatever the result, this will be a useful learning for RDZ tactically and may shape a few future transfers.
