What a great half of football and advertisement for the beautiful game!

Plenty of chances at both ends and wide players trying to beat the man.

This is the stuff that makes people fall in love with football.

And we're winning, which always helps.

This will be typical Potterball and we'll probably lose 2-1. March looks the weak link, always slowing things down and looks to have no confidence to cross or dribble into the box.

Exciting game of football. Villa in form and the better side, but we're playing well.

We've been a bit lucky with Villa's abysmal finishing, but have been great on the counter and have had more clear-cut chances than they have.

Welbeck adds a new dimension to our game. Height and presence up front. Clearly talented, albeit a bit rusty. His finish oozed quality, great goal.

Lamptey is on fire. His pace is unreal. They can't get near him. Grealish had to change wings. Excellent.

Notable mention for White. Some incredible interventions to keep us in it. Great to see him back in defence. Can see what the fuss was about!

Maupay looking low on confidence. Should have done better with his chances today. Shame because Welbeck is linking up really well with him.

...and what an incredibly bizarre save by Ryan, who has looked really solid today.

This game could go either way today. This one is very, very hard to predict. Villa have the quality and form to punish us.

First game White has looked our best CB IMHO.

Big this from Potter. We were excellent but could have conceded 5. It's only a matter of time so he needs to do something. Nothing huge, just change the shape in midfield a little, maybe get Gross off for someone more mobile.

This, he’s very quick, reads the game well and is solid in the table. He sniffs out danger very well.

Have to improve that midfield - maybe even sacrifice a striker. Not getting out quick enough and not picking up the second balls.

Alzate?! They just come forward in waves. Ryan really looks like a child in goal. What was that save all about? Instils very little confidence for me. Our decision making up top is still panicky but there’s more goals in this for us. Villa will naturally be thinking the same. Can someone just follow Grealish around? Not Potters style but it would negate so much of their threat
