Hi all, I'm guessing this has been mentioned on here several times before, but what is the cheapest way to get to Villa?

Ideally I want to go via train, but it seems expensive, has anyone found a cheap train fare by booking in advance?

Take the Victoria line and change at Green Park to the Jubilee line, head north for 11 stops

But if you want a beer, take the FCC train to London Bridge and get off there

the advance tickets will be long gone. if theres 3 or 4 it would definatly be cheapest by car, 2 might even be cheaper than a couple full trains fares.

two of us going by car, i reckon it will cost £50 between the two of us in the old toyota corrola!

dont know anything about group save...alright if there are 4 of you, but only 2 of us so dont get involved with group save tickets, although i hear they are good value !

The best options still available on the Southern website could get you from Euston to Birmingham and back for £38 a head (adults, without railcards).

We were going to do groupsave to watford junction, £20 for 3 of us, sorted.

However, from there we need to use London Midland trains and the last train back is 17.33, after that it is all virgin trains and quite expensive?

Anyone got any hints?
