There are still cheap train tickets on London Midland. Problem is getting to Euston in time (you cant do it from eg Lewes because of bus replacement). If you're based in London, the 0824 is only £6.

I know when they first started using this system, the windows were designed so that there were enough tickets for everyone in the first bracket. Otherwise, what's the point?
A 2,700 1901 away following, that would be a site to behold.
It'd be so silent that the prawn sandwich munching would be audible. That and the occasional 'sit down!'

Well out of the five of us, only me and the wife have enough for the first round, the other three who have not made it to an away game this season don't have enough, so I dont think there's any likelihood of the 1901 Club Taking all the tickets.

By what mechanism do these 1901 members magically jump the queue. They've either been to away games and got the points like everyone else or they haven't. I speak as one who has.
Don't they get higher base points for their ST (1100 rather than 1000 ?) hence can attend fewer away games to be in the first tranche ?

Yes. 1100 as a starting point v 1000 is correct. No additional points for attending home cup games though (presumably because home cup games are included in the ticket price). Points awarded for away league and cup games are the same as normal ST holders.
There used to be a "gold" standard ST too. This included home cup games and attracted 1050 LP. Presumably the holders of a gold ST also didn't get additional LP for home cup games, for the same reason as 1901ers. I don't know if the "gold" ST still exists.

"All the time your season-ticket is active you have a constant balance of 1,000 loyalty points (1,030 for 1901 Club members). For new season ticket holders, these are added on the date of the first competitive fixture of the season. Additional points are then earned as follows:

I have some insight here. 1030 was the 1901ers allocation prior to the gold ST (league and home cup games) being introduced; this was awarded 1050 points. I (I've not had a PA for 20 years
) emailed the club and said "hang on, shouldn't 1901ers have at least 1050 points then? If you want to maintain the 30 point differential you already have in place (1030 v 1000), then it should be 1080". About a month later I got an email saying that the club had decided it would be 1100. 
It's been 1100 ever since. No idea if others had made contact with the club on the topic...CP 0 3 BHA

I would think Villa will sit tight on further tickets until they know whether it could be a game that has a Playoff place riding on it for them. If and when they are out of reach I suspect they'll cash in and release a decent chunk.
