Numerous decent pubs in the Temple Street, Bennett’s Hill, Temple Row area in the city centre. Less than 5 minutes’ walk from New Street station. Old Joint Stock (Fullers) is probably the most impressive. Wellington has a vast selection of real ales, but doesn’t do food. Head of Steam is probably my favourite and has TV screens. There are food and drink huts in the Christmas Market on New Street, virtually outside of the station. For all of these, take the Victoria Square or New Street exits out of the station.
Any recs for local parking?

Previously I've parked at The Wisdom Academy (a school on Sycamore Road, 5 min walk away) for £7 or something similar. Just turned up and paid cash to someone on the gate. However takes about 30 minutes to get out and on to the Aston Expressway to get away but think it will be like that wherever you park locally.
Normally rammed if you leave after the game is finished.Does anyone know what Witton train station will be like after the game? I've tended to walk into town back in the past but it takes about an hour and wondered if the train might be quicker.
I didn't want to say that [emoji28][emoji28]Might have to leave on 83 mins to avoid the queues.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't get close to Aston via M42, A45 (National Motorcycle Museum), parking up in Duddleston/Saltley and walking in from there?

Does anyone know Aston Villa’s policy on taking in small bags and ‘gasp’ bottles/flasks into Villa Park? I thought the club used to email out or post online an info pack for every away game but I can’t find one.
What pubs are best to head to?? Planning to get there for around 1

They have a walkway up to the platform which is Falmer Station but very narrow so get ready for a long wait
