Asking for ID...

I got asked for id at the local londis a few months back which I found quite funny as i'm 37..

going back to what I said about the Unions, we were once told "the only way we can give you full protection on this is if you ID every customer regardless of age"

Reading this thread and seeing 37 mentioned I was wondering what is the oldest anyone on here has been asked to produce ID at any establishment.

i've ID'd plenty of 30 yr olds, we get a lot of Asian lads in and, by looking at them the best 'guess' you can sometimes make is between 15 and 35!

Did you? You said they clearly didnt think he was under 18 so served him but I'm saying the woman shouldn't have done that because they operate the under 25 policy. Don't make me look like a dick mate.

Nah, you shouldn't of been served, but I'd imagine they could clearly see you weren't under 18 so just served you.

this makes sense to you and to me, but rest assured, once challenged she has now taken the route of 'no return' to then serve them is in breach of any licence agreement and she could easily lose her job
