Silly red card, so I think Gus will put him on the bench for Saturday and see what happens.

It doesn't matter if it's Ashley Barnes or Ulloa.

If they are out the team and someone in their position is playing better than them, then they won't get back in immediately.

ps I'm a Barnes fan, but again, it's the same for ANY player.

He scores goals, helps other people score goals and tackles. Apart from that he does bugger all...

Chuckle.... well done... shame our points tally doesn't match up also....

In or out shouldn't make a difference. With or without him starting we should be winning this game.
FWIW I don't think he should start but I guess it's not up to us is it?

32% of us is hardly just a few is it??

More than 2/3 want Barnes in, despite him getting stupidly sent off and not being one of the highly paid stand-out acquisitions.

Just shows most NSCers are intelligent football folk, not swayed by we must include all the 'superstars' and the £3.25m striker.

Really liked him alongside Ulloa, rest Buckley for a game.

We are at home, why on earth would you rest the one really attacking winger and play Barnes. We need to win and need to attack from the off and for 90 mins. The balance of the team looks great at the moment, no need to change.

I really f***ing hate these 'clever' nicknames . First 'barndoor' was done to death to describe any striker on a bad run and now the idiots have adopted 'marmite'.

The reports from Cardiff eg Bozza's was it was a back to the wall job, with a very charmed Albion goal.

It won't be like breaking a free flowing and free scoring force, if Gus tweaks it, so that we dominate Burnley like we should at home.

But we were at the league leaders so you expect that and this week we are at home. No need for change in my opinion

No one would have expected any different at Cardiff who've invested heavily and have clicked this season.

There must be change as Bridcutt's out, so naive to replace with one more light weight 'skilled' player, against a tall powerful team with the obvious instructions to get in Brighton's faces and frustrate.

Barnes and Hammond will give us steel, whilst allowing the others to play.

So you are saying that Barnes is now a..... what?.... defensive m/f player?... please make your minds up, one minute he is the striker to partner Ulloa in place of Buckley or CMS or anyone you feel like replacing, the next he is the 'steel' to sit and allow others to play,... sheesh, I do despair.

Disagree. dont change the shape of the side which is looking good, Bridcutt is out, put Hammond in that role and bring Dickler in to replace Hammond. Nothing else needs to change apart from 2 of Vicente, Orlandi and Lopez starting along side KLL or Buckley.

It's an odd one.

Last season, if you got sent off, you didn't play for the club again.

Without Barnes, we have 7 points from 9, the last 4 of those have been polar opposite performances.

But still I can't help thinking Barnes is straight back in, which doesn't make a lot sense.

Barnes was immense v Arsenal, non existent for the tail end of '12.

The Barnes-bashers need to understand that if he does get put back in the team, it will 95% be down to injuries - not because he's Gus' love-child. Although I suspect most of them will use it as a stick to hit Barnes/Poyet with.

FWIW, if Hammond is fit then I expect Barnes will be on the bench. If not, then I expect Barnes will start.

So when Barnsey scored against Arsenal all you knockers went ......'FFS BARNES!!'.... and refused to cheer......he may not ge the greatest player we have but he is a grafter and works for the team and will come up with a goal....think most have a go because sometimes he misses a sitter...like that penalty....but CMS missed one as well.....we should get behind all our players whilst they are here...it's called support.....that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it anyway.

Buckley or Barnes
Orlandi or Barnes
Lopez or Barnes
Ulloa or Barnes
Vicente or Barnes
CMS or Barnes
Dicker or Barnes
Hammond or Barnes

To my mind he's second choice to all of these players.
