Shit news, Owen , Rooney and Beckham both had injuries with similar timescales in recent tournaments. All players were a shadow of how they would be fully fit and it cost us.

Bridge can do a job though the same way Mills was almost player of the tournament in 2002.

The problem we have is the goalkeeper and right back - we are shite in those positions and badly need a miracle there to win the world cup

Bad news I agree. For England to do anything we need all the first choice players fit and on the top on their game. Bang goes our best left-back. It'll be three months out if all goes well. Then he has to regain match fitness, sharpness and form. He's going to be struggling. God help us if Rooney gets injured.
