The fastest way to 'get over it' and for this thread to die (or disappear for posterity into the museum that is NSC Gold) is for Mr Burns to make a full retraction of his position.

Until that happens, it's open season.

So you believe that EVERY Albion player is above criticism?

A player has a bad game and the knives / Dr.Martens are well and truly planted. Sometimes childish and spiteful additional comments are added in those posts and meant (Murray - "no personality", "never liked him, he's unsmiling for my liking; "Barnes is thick").

In that category, there've been incredible judgemental blunders by the boo-boys; David Lopez, Barnes, Murray, Maty Ryan, Gross, Stephens.

Obviously many other players have deserved to be criticised, when it's pretty obvious they're never going to be up to the Albion mark. Too many to mention, but obvious examples are Harley, Obika, Akpom, Skalak (latter days), James Wilson (in the main), Hoyte, Paynter, Graeme Smith.

Only reason Ashley Barnes hasn't scored more this season is due to Dyche's early season decision to leave AB on the bench. About as dumb a decision as Guardiola leaving Aguero on the bench.

Some criticism is ok. Saying you don't think a player is doing well is fine - saying you think they need to improve certain aspects of their game is fine. And if we have a lazt Kemy or Best, go for it. But no it's not ok to go overboard on someone like Bong or Knockaert, if they're out of form or have a bad game.

What's your take on a vocal minority slagging off and/or booing the abilities of a Stephens, Lopez, Barnes or Murray? At a time when you and possibly most fans feel they're doing fine?

Barnes all but confirms our saftey in this league. Best bit of transfer business we have ever done selling him to Burnley.

Love how this thread pops up. Couldn't understand the stick he got when he was with us and he proved the muppets wrong. Considering he had a very bad injury at Burnley hes proved his quality by still getting games in this league.
