Ashley Barnes isn't nearly good enough for us.

I see a bit of a climb down here. Make sure the ladder is firmly fixed to the ground. Wouldn't want you to fall. Your trying to turn it into a legal argument now. I think I've explianed enough already, as you are well aware what I mean when I say hes not good enough for the current side. IMO he is the weak link. When he starts I think he is the poorest player in the side. As others agree..... almost

There is no climb down, this season Gus has had as his choice of strikers Murray, Wood, Barnes, Holroyd, Sandaza and Hart. Of those I think that Murray and Barnes have been the best. If you disagree then I have no issue with it.

You said he was conference class, I think he is better than that
You said he was out of his depth, I think he has proved himself to be a decent striker this season
You said he is just too lightweight for pro football, and all the time he has a hole in his arse he wont make it. I think that is a snide and unnecessary comment
You said any other striker at the club could match these or better his goal tally given the game time and position Barnes has had this season. I say that Sandaza, Wood, Holroyd and Hart would not have done so.

But it's just opinions, just like yours about Paul Samrah.

No, he'll just comment on the lack of an R in my username and go off in a hump, it happens a lot

No, I still maintain that a ten year old would not have scored from those chances at Tranmere, but clearly your view was better than mine, I was at the ground, and you were at home listening on the radio.

I think he's getting backed into a corner and getting confused. Careful because he will start trying to tie you up with words, or pick holes in your spelling shortly

Unfortunately Mr B, words tend to be quite important on a message board, as there isn't a lot else on them.

In all fairness, spelling the name of your hometown wrong is pretty f***ing stupid.

This has been covered, but it was nothing more than a typo that I didn't pick up on until I next tried to log in, and that wasn't picked up on for about a year and a half by anyone else, if I really cared, I could've made a new account with the correct spelling, but I didn't bother. I bet at some point in your time here you've misspelt Brighton by pure accident.

I do find it interesting that you remember my one comment out of the dozens being made on this board along a similar vein around October when Barnes was literally missing 5 sitters per game before putting one away, the general issue seemed to be that we shouldnt give our players any stick, an interesting comment given just how much stick our players have received on this board since I started reading it.

This thread wouldn't be out of place amongst the comments sections of The Arsegas.

I doubt anyone else could be that dumb.

HA HA HA.

I think you have a problem with how I say thing, not what I say. You seem to agree with the ratings. You seem to agree with he poor in the air.

What you dont like is my comments. Sorry we are obviosuly from differnent backgrounds. Your claim to being the only gay in the village, may suggest you are not used to the banter around football. Calling someone a tart, a lightweight, a larry, tackles like a tart, cowardly in the tackle, aren't really snide comments. Its football. I think you're problem with me is not what I say, because from your comments tonight its appear you broadly agree with it, but how I say it.

Not much I can do about that mate, apart from get over yourself.

I was waiting for you to bring up the Samrah thing. Again words. I dont like him, I dont care for him, its my opinion, and we've already been though that, so try and keep the threads seperate, despite being desperate to trying and cloud issues. This thread is about Ashley Barnes, we've already done the Samrah issue in another one.

Could pay the £1 to REMF to have your username changed.

I have no issue with players being criticised, or managers, or the board.

After all we used to have a striker called 'One in ten Glenn' at the Albion, and people used to slate him, can't remember what happened to him though.

I genuinely don't know why people get so much enjoyment out of ripping the shit out of people though. Perhaps it is the job I do, where we try to support and nurture people, has skewed my viewpoint.

To be fair he has got you there  but in seriousness when they turn it to your username, it does sort of weaken their argument.

The serious discussions are long over, now it's the H Block goons here to gloat over their superior intellect.

TO be fair Mr B, when you start a thread 'don't quote statistics at me', and then use statistics to back up your viewpoint, it does sort of weaken yours too.
