All this talk about we played well yesterday I must have been at a different game. Nothing going forward, no link up between the forwards or between the midfield and forwards. Bar the goal and Forster off the bar/post can't remember there keeper having anything to do. The defence bar two moments of madness were comfortable so at least that is something to build on I suppose.

Is that one of the worst runs in BHAFC's history ?. Certainly with the squad we have it is unforgiveable and there is only one person to blame for that.

I can think of at least eleven people to blame too.

As for one of the worst runs in BHAFC history try

4 wins
7 draws
13 defeats

.......two seasons ago

or

2 wins
13 draws
9 defeats

......... three seasons ago

or

3 wins
6 draws
8 defeats

......... four seasons ago

or

1 win
0 draws
13 defeats

......six seasons ago

We are in this position because this is exactly where we deserve to be. Why should the next 20-odd games provide more points that the first lot? Lets get real, the only way we shall halt the slide is to invest in the squad or replace the manager, or both. My vote would be keep Adams and invest in new players.

I am ashamed to.

Ashamed to be a supporter of BHAFC at the moment.

You stupid tosser.

After all that has gone on over the past decade and more, to be where we are now is a miracle. No club has had to battle against everything we have. Where some councils and politicians fall over themselves to help their local clubs, we have had to battle like crazy merely just to survive. It's bad enough having so many groups against our football club in our own county without having our supposed fans showing such a swift, shallow loss of faith in BHAFC.

To still have a club at all playing in the football league and in Brighton is an achievement. It may be frustrating not to be winning every game, but if that is all you care about then I suggest becoming one of the many plastics in Sussex who chose to be a plastic armchair Premiership fan via Setanta and Sky.

The current board are the only people who have been willing to suppport the club - both financially and strategically - and we now have a fantastic new stadium on the way too (please note the spelling for your future posts).

I myself am very proud to be a Brighton fan, wherever we end up this season. Soon the new stadium will be starting to take shape and the club can start to head back to where we belong. For now it may not always be the best football in the country, but it is Brighton & Hove Albion FC.

My life is sad and empty, and so I live it through 11 people in polyester instead, over whom I have no control, or even influence. If they win I am happy and my status in society increases, if they lose the reverse takes place.

My status is currently slightly lower than that of a jizz mopper at a porn cinema, and that is why I am so angry.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever read! :lolol:

At the end of the day Yeh we are sitting in 21st place BUT really the only way is up for us,

Not strictly true, is it? We can still go down 3 places, which leads to relegation. Another 24 places to fall before we head into non-league.

Up is not the only way to go right now, and of 'up' or 'down', on current form, Down is more likely.

A gaping hole in the team's self-confidence became all the more evident as the game went on and certainly after the ludicrous own-goal over-speedily rolled in. The players lost their touch as time trickled out and the decision-making and teamwork were in disarray, so they needed inspiration as it disappeared on the field. The cries were for substitutions to be made were obvious, and i was in agreement, but i suppose Adams wanted to give faith to the players onfield and bring them out of the slightly sticky mire they were in by having belief shown in them. The dangers were so few and Colchester so shit (apart from the minute, spritely, little-legged 9 year old Perky being no better than average) that to allow them to play themselves back into the game and win would have left them in much finer stead for future games. But the lackadaisical nature of the defending then brought us down and we lost for no good reason. A shame really as we deserved a little more. We just need that bit of leadership on the pitch to keep the formation as it should be.

Now that is a fantastic post. Not egotistical, up-yourself bullshit that has become all too common on here. A grounded, fair opinion on the game. It really wasn't that bad yesterday. We should have scored at least 2 more and we were the better team. People have over-reacted and I think even now some fail to realise that we are in league 1. The standard of football is not brilliant.

I think that in the first half we played as well as we have all season and there only looked to be going to be one winner, us even allowing for the comical og. We started the 2nd half off very brightly and still bossed the game then we ran out of ideas after about 20 mins. It was then that we should have brought on Thornton to provide something for the front men and that is what cost us the game as they became stronger towards the end.

We then brought on both Fleetwood and McLeod, for what reason I do not know as they didnt do as well as the people that they replaced. Had we scored the 2nd goal instead of Colchester everybody would be on here saying how well we had played and we have turned the corner.

Well said. I totally agree.

Except I would have started with Thornton and gladly chipped in for a one way train ticket back to Leeds for the bottle job that is Bradley Johnson.
